While the children are learning about their class
mascot, Penny the Penguin and where she lives, they will be learning about the
weather at the South Pole. They will learn
about Emperor penguins and their breeding habits as well as how the egg/chick
are taken care of – both by the father and the mother. They will also be learning about some of the
others Penguins found in the Southern Hemisphere. They will complete a Webquest
in order to find the information.
